What sort do you need a rotary or a belt type? I have a belt type you can have for free.

Sounds like you have a good deal there, a belt sander is the tool for sanding floor boards a bit of advice punch nails down with a nail punch or remove nails as they will rip the belts and you will get through a load. Firstly use a course paper 120 grit then a 180 grit lastly a 240 grit, you will end up with a good finish.
