Daughter admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis.

Our cat Misty, hit by car, dead.

While driving this morning, hit a rock on a dirt track, oil leak in engine :-(

Skype not working.

What's next?

So sorry to hear about your daughter, chin up though the day can only get better from here on in. Our son had his appendix out when he was 2 years old so know how you feel., but it is one of these operations that are done every day and recovery time is usually not long.

So far so good, apart from the power cut.

Car not ready yet.

Enjoyed my 2km walk up and down the ravines to get home,

It was only app 30c @ noon :-(

I have been whinging because I fell into a large cactus and pulling out the thorns is a bloody and eye watering experience. Your post has caused me to think I am lucky so every good wish that your daughter is soon home restored to full health and in the fullness of time you chose to give another little feline mite a home. I gave thought to paying penitence by jumping back into the cactus until I realised it also has a wasps nest within and I might not be two times lucky !

Sorry to hear of yor immediate problems Navek, hopefully they will not last as long as the Cyprob and your daughter will soon be a picture of health. the most important thing for appendicitis is catching it before it explodes. I can say from the unfortunate side of the fence that you're lucky your daughter is in hospital now rather than later. Hope she recovers well.

Well, thank you all very much for your kind comments,

this is the best thread I've read for a long time.

It would bring a tear to a glass eye



Although our little Misty has gone to the big Mouse Farm in the Sky,

we still have a very large ginger tom, and a little black & white female, both neutered.

both strays that adopted us, Misty in 2007 and Bruiser 2008.

No more at the moment, thanks'



Our daughter was discharged earlier today, women's trouble

She's tucked up in her bed at home now.



The garage phoned to say the car was repaired & ready to collect @ 18.00 tonight.
