Try Greenium, opposite K-Pet garage in Karakum - they installed our multifuel burner and did a good job. I think there is also a place called 'warmlife' next to Supreme Supermarket. Have you thought about just having an open fire? A lot cheaper, especially if you can find the wood yourself.

On a central heating note. I would like to know if anyone has price info on Boilers radiators and a sorce for genearl plumbing supplies. Propane combi boilers and external tank is what I would require. Is it possible to import from UK?

You could look at Amanda's auctions for heaters. Usually some up for auction. Have a look at their website. Also oil filled electric radiators come in handy.

We had an open fire and it was useless. Chimney did not draw sufficiently and we kept getting smoke in the room and you had to be sitting right in front of the fire to get any heat. We eventually ripped the fireplace out and bought a woodburner from Greenium. My husband installed it himself (with a little help) and we have a flue pipe going up through the ceiling into the original chimney, which we also increased in height. The difference in heat is amazing. We can now leave the lounge doors open and heat the whole house. It is cleaner and safer than an open fire and you can still use wood you find lying around. We used a calor gas heater last year and found it was smelly and made our eyes water after a while. It will also cause condensation in the room.

It was the biggest one that Greenium had, 16kw I think. It is a cast iron Suffolk stove. Cost was about £850 plus the flue and special spray paint. Cost of flue depends on how much you need plus any angles but is not expensive. As I said we installed it ourselves so presume that would be an extra cost.

we have a wood burner and installed it ourselves. Saying that we didn't have to put in a flue as we gave the builder the dimensions and he fitted a flue into the chimney for us so all we had to do was cement the angle in place and away we went. Really pleased with it. Karen
