The buffet last night was it good or bad, for me personally I thought it was poor, very poor. I don,t know how much of the 20 lira fee went to the charity it must have been over half because it wasn,t worth much more than 10 lira. And the drink price for a g&t, 10 lira was robbery, so to the organisers I say well done but please try a different venue next time, if not, we will contribute to the charity but not attend the event.

Well, personally I thought it was excellent value. Bearing in mind that there was no restriction on going up for seconds............... I had an Efes TL5.00 and Rose wine ( small glass ) also TL5.00 which I didn`t think was bad. I hope they do another buffet but at Cine Miles , only because that is easier for us to get to. Well done Maureen and peter for a brilliant evening.

Yes it wasn,t that bad if you like cabbage done in several different ways, shredded white cabbage shredded red cabbage pickled yes you,ve guessed it cabbage, chicken livers over cooked, I think there might have been another chicken dish, well I might have been unlucky with my portion because all I could find was onion and some other "veg" in a sauce.

Originally this was to be a Quiz evening with raffle, the Mt View buffet and dancing after 10 to Mike DJ and all for a mere 20tl! And trying to make money for the KSF. then along comes Johnny lee and for his fans to then have an evening still for 20tl, it was a bargain compared to CIN functions at 130tl. Really how can you complain for that money, assuming that apart from the moan about the cabbage you had a super evening? as to the money for charity - a little went to KSF and that is why the hotel needs to make money on drinks as the buffet is virtually cost price for them. And think of the children you helped by hyour attendance. Surely that is worth far more than a moan about what is normally FANTASTIC value for money. I wasn't there and there was a good reaosn for that, but I still maintain that 20tl for an evening like that has to be almost unbeatable. And coping with a lot of people is difficult when running a buffet, so spare a thought for Sue and co.

Well, what can we say to Topten whoever you are. If you are our only complaint out of around 120 people we feel very sorry for you that you have nothing else to do. We at Mountain View try our best and we never get complaints due to the fact that people know we make nothing on our food, our food is always good that is why so many people come back. If you think our drinks are expensive, especially when they have been more or less the same price for a few years now, why dont you just buy yourself a bottle and sit at home. 8.00tl for local and 10.00tl for import is not expensive when you compare to other places that are charging between 10.00tl and 15.00tl. We do a lot for charity and we enjoy it. People like you that can go on forums instead of coming to see us personally and letting us know your problems, must have big problems themselves. If you had come to speak with us and told us that there was nothing for you to eat, we could have maybe done you something else.

In future remember that these are charity events, we try our best but unfortunately we cannot please everyone and we cant do everything for free, as much as we would like to. Next time if you have a problem anywhere, why dont you try approaching them instead of hiding behind a computer.

Well said Dolly. I have heard nothing but good things about your buffets. You can't please everyone all of the time. But I hate cabbage, and if I'd have been able to come along, I wouldn't have been too happy either Still, all in a good cause. Well done Mountain View and well done Maureen F for organising the night.

Well said Dolly. I've come across this TopTen before when he was slagging off another hotel's barbeque last year. I put him in his place then, and I will do it now. Fact of the matter is he is a bored 66(!) year old man who thinks the world owes him a favour. He probably doesn't have the balls to say anything to management which is why he makes a quick dash to his "computer" to get some stuff off his chest. This "top10" is probably the kind of donut that praises bars selling beer for 2.5TL! If you want extra food mate, grow a pair and ask for it. Don't take the soft option and moan on here. What a "top" prat.

You must have eaten a different buffet than the one I had then! The Mountain View Buffet is ALWAYS fantastic value for money. The liver was quite delicious and I am not a big fan of liver as a rule. There was a hot chicken dish with rice, samosa plus vast and plentiful salad including Aubergine(no cabbage), Tomato (no cabbage) Bulgar wheat (no cabbage) , Potatoes (no cabbage) etc etc. Indeed you also get a dessert for your money!!! There is always loads of food for you to go up for second helpings. Mountain View do loads of things for charity and I do think it is mean in the extreme to critisize their buffet.

Sorry l do'nt know what happened l must have pressed the wrong button. DJ Mike with his music, the quiz, help with the raffle. Must say Pam and Malcolm did a great job selling all those raffle tickets Sue and her staff did a great job. Many thanks to them. One of Sue's visitors there on holiday won a raffle prize, a Boxed Necklace and matching Earrings, which he was so pleased with for his wife, he left 35TL to be added to what we had already collected. l will not bore you anymore just THANK YOU for making it such a successfull evening. Maureen.

We have attended several charity functions at Mountain View and have always been delighted with the food, the service and the value for money. TopTen , you obviously don't have a lot of charity in you and to complain about things on here shows what you are, what do you expect, free food and drink, you need to stick to Happy Hour drinking.
