I had the same problem with hotmail a couple of weeks ago. A hacker got into my email, changed the password so that I couldn't get access at all and then he proceeded to send an email to all my contacts, saying I was in Spain and desperately needed money to pay for an operation for my dying cousin!!! Fortunately no one actually fell for this scam but several phoned me to see if they could help out as they were very worried.

Anyway, the outcome was that it took me 4 days to sort out with communication via another persons' computer, backwards and forwards to hotmail/microsoft to change the password to my email account and eventually get all my contacts and email history back again.

Guess you will have tyo do something similar with facebook!

Msg 11

I've just resolved it for you!

You need a 'mail book' with a 'hot face'. Job done and sorted!

Msg 1 & 15

The best two people I know of to contact are Erolz or Mark (6m's), far more knowledgeable than I on these matters.

No, but you could do something constructive and start building or restoring historical sites as your (no doubt bullshit) curriculum vitae suggests you're crafted in!

I am working on a grade 2 listed building at the moment, a new stone extension in a small village called Dalton.I am also building a double garage with office on top in the town of Morpeth, this too is in stone and has to comply with stringent planning because it to is on the grounds of a listed building.

Nice of you to show interest. If you have any questions regarding my life and work please ask.

Hi Poodledog

I am now writing to hotmail because I was unable to remember the details and the answers I put when I first created my account which was in 2005. Hotmail is saying that I have not given them enough details so they will not be able to help. Should I continue writing to them still explaining the situation or give up because nothing will happen unless I remember those passwords ?

Oceana the only people who can help you if your accounts have been 'hacked' is the people who provide those services. You must contact them and they will tell you what to do.

Some links that may help but they just say pretty much what I and others have said already really.

Hi Oceana

I'm no technical expert, but I think you might have trouble without remembering your original password. However, I suggest you go in to see the guy at Laconic Computers between Lapta and Karsiyaka on the main Girne Road - he's very helpful and might know a way round it.

Best of luck

ahahah,I know Gary i wont give up untill I get my facebook back;)). I did speak with Kelly the other day but she doesn't know how to either. I have to remember the answer to the security question which was asked when I first opened my account. I guess the only way it could be solved is by people who speciliaze on this particular matter.
