its not a question of age , its when his feet can reach the pedals , and if he can manouvre the car with one hand whilst talking to his mates on his mobile doing 100mph so much the better .

The legal age for driving cars is 18 here in KKTC. A provisional licence can be applied for once the person become 18 but not before.

You were right you did get some comments!

Hope this helps.

If you could get your son through the UK driving test before you come over here, it would be a big help. The UK driving test is very thorough and is therefore a benefit to a person learning to drive.

Having obtained his Full UK driving licence, he would be able to submit it to the TRNC driving licence department and he would be given a full TRNC licence as well as his UK licence, once the correct fee has been paid.

There have been so many fatal accidents over here of late, as you may have seen on the forum. Do everthing you can to make sure your son gets the best driver training possible, so he is fully prepared for driving in TRNC when the time comes.
