Why do the BBC use people to sign language ? They want to save licence payers money so why don,t they just use subtitles. Sack ,em !

Quite agree. One other thing i can never understand with the BBC news. Why do they send reporters to specific locations to read news reports. If there is a story on the Royal family, we have the reporter stood outside Buckingham Palace. Then if there is a story about the Government we have the reporter stood outside number10.

Now if the reporters were INSIDE Buck house or No 10 i would be impressed but to stand outside does nothing for the story and can only increase the cost of producing the article.

Just do the story from the studio and save the licence fees for something worthwhile.

I agree think of the cost of sending an outside broadcast unit any where. Must be very expensive.

Whilst I agree with all of what has been said, perhaps someone who actually pays for a TV licence might have a different opinion.

I pay a TV which the BBC seem to squander at will, when you see the numbers of personnel they send to sports events and royal tours ect . Also the fees thy pay to some of their "stars". Most of what the BBC do is a total waste.

paddywack, thank you for that, I do agree but as I have often found when I talk about the tax system in the UK to workmates, some of them give me stick for not paying it, so I thought it might look better if a licence payer joined the ramks.
