Found in our garden a beige cyprus terrier (well I think it's a cyprus terrier - it's small and furry).

It is a male, with a blue or black collar with the Turkish 'evil eye' stones on it. Very friendly, but it's fur is badly matted.

Very cute dog - anyone recognise it? It has that sort of sheepdog look with the furry hair over the eyes.

Almost certainly owned by a TC rather than ex-pat i.e. (1) the eye (2) they are dreadful at not getting their dogs clipped when it starts to get hot. Probably not neutered either.

I suspect it does have a TC owner, but no-one around here, so am at a bit of a loss. The collar looks new-ish so I do think it is lost rather than dumped. I hope!

A little dog sounding just like that turned up at our place in a terrible state too..after a good clean and brush up we could not help ourselves and named him Buster

We do think that he was left and dumped by an English as he understood everything ! He gives us so much pleasure...can you not keep him ? have you cleaned him up yet ? and dose he understand English commands ?

As all of the above things may well help to find his owner or find him a new loving home too.

He is a cutie, but we have cats so can't keep a dog - the cats are very agitated.

I've tried brushing him, but there are way too many burrs and he is extremely badly matted. I've managed to cut away a few of the worst bits but can't do too much as he's a bit of a wriggler.

He doesn't understand English - I've tried a few turkish words (otur - sit, git - go, gel - come ) and he seems to understand 'sit' but nothing else. Maybe my accent confuses him!

Any help on the photo?

Still looking for the owner or potential new owner for this lovely fluffy dog.

Gill, a very nice volunteer from KAR, came along today and gave him a bit of a haircut and got the worst of the matted bits cut off. So he is looking even cuter than before.

Anyone interested in giving this wee boy a new home? I have to suspect that he has been dumped - given his condition - so would be grateful if anyone who thinks they could give him a home would contact me (0533 831 2241).

He is very affectionate, and whilst he does not bother our cats, they are distressed with him being around, so we can't keep him.

I have given up on finding the owners, I think he was dumped.

So would anyone like to take on this wee guy. He is adorable, just looking for someone to take him walkies and give him cuddles.

Still looking for someone to take this wee guy - URGENTLY -

Unfortunately he was attacked a few nights ago - judging by the bite marks it must have been a very big dog - luckily he is 'punctured' rather than having chunks taken out of him, and he is starting to heal, but we had to keep him in for a few nights as he was very traumatised.

But we cannot keep him - not fair to him and not fair to our cats.

Please - can anyone take him on - he is adorable - he lays his head on your lap and just stares up at you with those big brown eyes, then jumps around to tell you he wants to go for a walk. He is perfectly well behaved on a lead.
