Looking at & thinking of moving to North Cyprus

Pie in the sky at the moment but we are getting to the stage where UK is not the place to live. Jobs, standard of living, costs, politics everything that comes with "Rip off Britain"

North Cyprus appeals to us, the prices of property in a nice climate, the cost of & standard living, the expat community and hopefully to be able to retire earlier.

We would be selling our property here and buying a 2 bedroom bungalow type property in a quiet peaceful area where we can walk the dog along the beach and chill out in the afternoon with a large glass of wine.

Am I seeing it through rose tinted glasses? and what warnings or advice would you give me.

Yes you are, but it is a good life here, you can not live it as if you are on holiday though. Don't buy but rent for the first year to start with, and if you need to work here to survive forget it, not reasonably possible at present.

Good advice about renting for a while. That is probably what we would do.
