Not us, we live in the 'culture-starved' north of England. We decided there was no point, the travelling alone would be a pain. Wish the events could be spread across the whole country to give everyone a fair shot at it! We think it would have been easier to get tickets in another hosting country than the UK.

Our daughter in the UK applied for £6,500 worth of tickets - thinking at least they were in with a chance of getting something - got absolutely nothing.

Our son in law applied for tickets but hasn't managed to get any, perhaps he should change his name to Gadaffi, there was no initial problem there.

Very easy to get tickets on the continent-they were for sale 6 weeks before the UK ones. UK residents just have to pay for the olympics not watch them

Me neither! In these times of austerity for most of the world wouldn't it have been sensible to have had the games in one of the countries who have already built the whole thing/infrastructure. I don't know how a little country like the UK could afford it!
