Reports of Nıck Hudson's demise were greatly exaggerated at Lambousa market today (Saturday). He dıd take a day off (the fırst for 380) and the Starman has now left the Cyprus Star newspaper buıldıng. But he wıll be starrıng ın a new role as general manager from tomorrow night at the Cyprus Queen, Alsancak. To celebrate the rebırth of the man wıth the most recognısable hat ın the TRNC, please pop along for a 'Hello, Goodbye' drınk on Sunday nıght at the Cyprus Queen (local drınks 4TL) from 8pm. It wıll be goodbye from hım at the Star and hello from hım at the CQ. Watch thıs space for much, much more ın the comıng weeks and months. Remember ıf you don't want to be mıserable all week, VISIT THE QUEEN.

Oh dizzycow. I think it means that the former or soon to be former editor of Cyprus Star is changing his occupation to that of a publican at the bar known as the Cyprus Queen, formerly the Corner Bar in Alsancack.



Of course I could have got it all wrong, I frequently do.



I wonder what mr Safa will make of this, Nick certainly brought the circulation up at the Star.

You are correct message 8. Saw Nick myself, and yes, as from today, an Editor no more, but a Barman/manager of the establishment known as Cyprus Queen! As to what Mr Safa makes of it - who knows and will he say?what will happen to next week's paper???? Will there be one? Will it be in English? don't think Nick cares if he gets a lot of mates at the bar drinking beer, boosting profits and putting the Cyprus problem to rights!

Good Luck Nick. Just hope it is not to hard. Pub work can be very tiring I should no that I have had two since being here. opening up 11am and not getting home until after 2am sometimes. But can be very rewarding.
