We always use the African Queen when our families and their children come over. We even used it when our son married and all their friends who came over with their assortment of children of all ages. Enjoy, it is a great day out and night if you want a curry cruise to see the sunset.

African Queen is very nice but with Children i'd suggest the Princess (Prensses) they have a water slide on board. Both do a lovely day trip.

African Queen is very good and provides good food for families. The one with the slide looks fun but have never used it.

Which ever one you choose, take those foam tubes with you. Even though the boats provide some, its best to make sure especially with kids.

As adults and strong swimmers, we take them as its great just lazing in the water with them instead of treading water for a length of time.

In the interests of public health, given the recent high levels of E-coli near the Dome Hotel ,try to pick one that doesn't tip his "Lavi" overboard....

I have recently been on the Prensses boat trip for the first time this year and the watershoot has been added since I went last year. It looks great fun, but I don't think it would be suitable for children of 5 and 8. That said, I must praise 'the Brothers' for the fantastic food and lovely atmosphere aboard. No doubt, I will be having a few more trips this season with them, as it is a great day out when entertaining visitors.

I had a lovely trip last week on the African Queen, we had a 2 month old baby with us and they couldn't have been more helpful re buggy/shade etc. They also now do BBQ fish or chicken for your lunch.

I have ben on the Prences (six brothers) 3 times no complaints. I guess they are of a muchness and some seem keen to criticize others to sell you a ticket. The larger the boat I guess there is less effect when the waters are a little choppy. As for the stops for swimming fine but cant remember seeing one fish so yes you can snorkel but little to see (sea)

I have always used the Blue Boat which I have found to be very good food and a very nice boat with plenty of shaded area.

The African Queen is definitely our families favourite.Daytime cruises more suited to kids i guess, sunset cruises are amazing, curry cruise a gastronomic delight

All three cruises great value and superb hospitality ,wouldn't consider any other boat.

we booked african queen in july ,but sadly the boat was in dock with a part needed ......so we thought it would be ok as guy from african queen recomended it and showed us onto it at the harbour ....sadly it was not as good.

the food was ok but the trip boring with no music and no atmosphere ,whilst at escape beach i could have swam ashore and jumped the dolmus back to girne .......so when over in september will check african queen again

As regards the discharge of blackwater overboard, unfortunatley there are no pumpout facilities in North Cyprus, exept a planned one for Karpaz gate and that is obviously to far to go.

It is a very difficult problem and no answer.
