So many of us were drawn towards this lady's awful predicament - and gave advice where we could, even if geography prevented us doing more - yet for reasons I can't fathom, the thread was closed before it became known that she and her child found refuge and safety long term - does anyone know?

I think if you read the thread,it was asked to be closed by 1 of her friends or @ least some one who knows her well enough to ask for the thread to be closed and that she was ok.



I dont feel a subject like this needs an update with all due respect.

I simply asked if the lady and her daughter are OK - I am aware from the other thread, someone decided on her behalf, the thread should be closed, and someone else went ahead and did just that. It is totally normal that those of us who were drawn to her situation, would want to know if she and her child are now safe.



Why you should think a posting saying "yes - she and her child are safe now" is something that should be said in private when the horror she was going through, was outlined on a public forum, is beyond comprehension. I am not the least bit interested in whether YOU think "a subject like this needs an update"; so I ask again, is Berilila and her child now safe?

For people that are concerned the police were a waste of time,informing her she has no rights regarding the child because as she has his surname he has the right of custody,even though she was born in the uk and holds a uk passport,once again no rights for the brits.The farther has left the mother with no money and no means of support.He even came back when she was out and took all the food out of the freezer (what a bastard)She has no gas to cook with,and unpaid electric and water bills.This poor woman is only surviving the ordeal with the help of friends and neighbours.The support from people that know and dont know her has been amazing.Please keep offering your support to this poor woman.

Message 8 - very strange.

I know a TC in Karsiyaka who beat his wife such that she needed stitches and the police immediately arrested and jailed him. When he was released he was told not to go anywhere near his home, wife and TC born daughter. The wife was Russian. Eventually they were reconciled but the wife had to sign papers allowing the husband back into the home.

A Ukranian female I know was being harrassed by a highly placed TC woman who wrongly believed that she was having an affair with her husband. The Girne police called the woman into the station, gave her a very severe telling off and made her apologise to my friend - twice, they weren't happy with the first attempt. They made it quite clear to the woman what would happen if she continued - she didn't.

So I am surprised that the police in this case were useless, but I guess it is down to individual officers.

Thanks nurseawful - I sense from all your postings throughout the time I have belonged to this forum, you would have a person in her postion's best interests at heart, and what you were not able to accomplish, you would point - whomever - in the right direction to get what they need.........



Although I am in England still, I do have connections there that I might have turned to as a very last resort, should the lady and her daughter still be in danger.........but I am glad to read she is safe

can i just add it was so nice to see all the positive comments and support as sometimes this forum can be negative and i wish it wasn't but that's freedom i suppose (same as i cant be bothered with my shift key hahaha). issue has restored my faith in the forum and continuing my membership and indeed human nature.

For sure MsG is unwilling to post her email here, nice to know that she can email others for an update lets hope that is fine with all concerned in this matter...



As was noted from the last thread she may not have had friends to contact on the evening or even before this, but I am very please to know she is getting support. Shame about the lack of support from the police too ! and the way the Ex has left things as is always the way..Given time and support things will look much clearer for her to untangle the ball and gain control again. All my best wishes.

Given the circumstances and the last post of the closed thread IMHO i would of thought rather than the person in question being discussed on here it would of been much easier to email nurseawful in a discreet way,i know if id been knocked from pillar to post im not sure if id like to think people are wanting an open update on whats happend after it had been told that all was in hand and being dealt with,this is just my opinion,we cant be right all the time !

nurseawful is one of about three people on this forum with whom (for whatever reason, I felt time was of the essence in a particular situation - as could have happened in this poor lady's case) I would engage with via e.mail, as I sense confidentiality is second nature to her. I don't post personal contact information NOT so much because of - say - a certain arachnid who tells us all "I just like to creeeeep about" but for the same reasons many of us don't - not least the fact the world is full of chemically influenced, walter mitty, unstable, dysfunctional, oddballs.............



I hope the lady and her daughter continue to fare well...........

She said her funds were running out and someone posted the ex had left her penniless and he had taken all the food ! If there is anything I can do berilela please do not hesitate to contact me...Happy to help in anyway.
