Just as well he/she is gentle, apparently they have a "Bite force" way beyond most other dogs ...including Bull Terriers...It may be wise to try to re-Home such a dog with someone used to ,and experienced with, this large breed..........It's the Kids I am concerned for...........

Martin I had one when I first came here, That soul was the most gentle dog I have had. We used to roll around the floor together. I do remember though I had to go back to the UK for a few days and arranged for my friends to go feed him and the cats, He wouldnt let them in so protective . I told him look after the house and boy did he.Beautiful dogs but as you say in the right hands. If its the dog I think it is then no worries whatsoever.

Lilli, I am not suggesting the dog is anything but a Lamb, But people should be aware that dogs of all kinds can in the wrong hand become dangerous , especially around Kids...I hope He/She finds the "RIGHT" home..

Martin,

Please leave this one alone all you need to know is that she needs a new home for this dog. Circumstances dictate that she can no longer keep him.

I met this dog for the first time today and I am very wary of dogs I don't know, he is lovely and I saw him with the ladies daughter he is no more dangerous than her cats!

Ok,Let's just hope that the dog finds a loving home and all is well....I don't wish to know the circumstances ....

I once had a Great Dane called "Beno" he to was as soft as a brush, but I was always extra careful around children that were new to him.....

There's nothing wrong with being careful when Re-Homing a dog....they can easily become stressed etc........

Best of luck to berilela....................

kangals are most unlikely to harm a child - they are very devoted to their family. :
