I can recommend The Cebiler Guest House at Dip Karpaz for a stay in the Karpaz. The accommodation is individual bungalows set around a beautiful garden, rooms are air conditioned, have a refridgerator and you are able to take your own drinks. The Cebiler it is family run, food is excellent and home cooked, prices good. We paid 300TL for 2 nights for 2 of us for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and this was excellent value.

Phone Murat on 0533 881 0161 to book.

At Dipkarpaz village follow signs to the Oasis, go past Villa Capparis and the Cebiler is off to the right.

I agree we go for two to three days every summer, what very good value and such a nice family . Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are spotless including all bed linens

I really like Cebiler guest house, such a lovely gardem. As we have a house in Dipkarpaz, we use it just as a place to eat and drink but I just love sitting in this lovely very green garden. Murat is such a nice guy. as it is nearly in the centre of the village, it gives you a good chance to wander around and also have a drink at another venue, especially if you are staying more than one night

We , my partner and I, I have always enjoyed Seabird Plaj right at the tip of the peninsular, past the Monestary. If you looking for 'get away from it all' I would recommend it, though it has been a few years since we last went.

mark&beck I am getting "There is a problem with this website's security certificate" message with that site using IE9. THere is also an option to continue to the site anyway. It is most likely just an 'admin' issue but there warning given is given because of possible security risk. Almost certainly nothing to do with 'security' but that is the message I am getting using IE9.

Can anyone advise where the best place in the Karpaz is to stay if you want a good beach to swim at as well?

Well there is no doubt that it is Burhan's place

http://www.burhansgoldenbeach.com

It has the central position of Golden Beach and is also closest to the sea. His Chalets are very clean and all have en-suite shower toilet. He has a great chef and very friendly staff, but most of all Burhan keeps an eye on everything at all times.

He is very popular and you definitely have to book early. midweek is not quite as busy.

Try Burnhans, it's right on the Golden beach. They start from bungalows (huts) for 2 people upwards.

erolz, we used to love Seabird, especially when Turan was still there. It was one of the first places we stayed at on our first holiday here, but it seems that in the last three years or so a 'hippiecamp' of caravans and lots of tickytacky stuff has grown into really unpleasant proportions right by them and just round the corner there is a big area of rubbish tipping. We did a lot of walking all around there and last year had a great walk from big Sands ending up at Seabird. The little beach there is still good, but when we went to have a drink and some meze in the restaurant, we sat for more than 10 minutes without being served. It turned out the waiters were busy playing Tavla and only when they got up to get themselves a drink, did we realise who they were and had to ask to be served!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe you just stayed at Cebilers and had dinner at the Damla Restaurant, sorry to have missed you, so glad you liked it all.

All the b & b's in Dipkarpaz have aircon, Cebiler's Guest house certainly does.

The link in message 1 is incorrect. It should be :
