we are re locating in North next April having bought a gorgeous London Cyprus home overlooking Kyrenia ! we are obviously very excited at the prospect of our new life in cyprus ! i am a professional session guitarist and am working at present on my own album which i'd like to perform in the larger venues on the island. if there are any musicians out there who feel up to it would they please contact me ? i am looking for a keyboard player, bass player and drummer and also a female vocalist ! i have worked with some of the great artists and would love to create a top quality band ! look forward to ant help out there

You will find some ex-pat musicians here as well as some great Turkish Cypriots

Drew is a local keyboard player and alex a guitarist they play at Jafeica on Mondays and Mambo on Fridays in Alsancak. Great duo

I am an experienced guitarist and singer(although I prefer backing and harmony vocals to lead although other people don't agree) and have guested with most of the top bands here playing blues and rock. The trouble with the Cypriot musicians is that they are lazy and prefer not to rehearse ( just turn up drunk in many cases and play crap but still get their money). I set up two bands here with top local musicians which failed to work due to their lack of application (not ability). I would be very interested in talking to you about doing something as I have a number of contacts for venues where I have played before. As ypou can tell by the name I am a big big Gibson nut and love blues and blues/rock but can play pretty much anything. E mail me if you want

thats very encouraging ! thank you , i would like to meet up early next year to see if we can put something together which i,m sure we can ! just feel we should be able to get some sort of top quality band together to play all sorts of styles for all sorts of venues but i must concentrate on my own stuff as well cos i am doing own album which must be released next year ! dunno why cos only my partner and mum will buy it !! i am in trnc november 19th to 26th if you fancy a meet !!

I have a friend who play bass guitar been playing for over twenty years with various bands in London and has recorded with various artists first love is blues also currently playing with a band in TRNC and has guested with jonny hawkins and funky monkey the current top band in trnc pretty well known in the area as a great guitarist and serious musician.
