I'm proud to have served in the British Army, and want to show my gratitude and support for the men and women in uniform who so bravely serve our country. The heroism of ordinary British Servicemen and women and the enormous sacrifices they have made on behalf of our country is something that everybody needs to understand. so it's important for us to recognise and celebrate the Armed Forces and the work they are doing right now in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

UK Armed Forces are the best of British!

I am extremely proud to have served my Queen and Country.

Our Armed Forces deserve our thoughts and gratitude for all they do for us.

If there are anu veterans, or serving personal, who can print off this voucher http://www.crowncarveries.co.uk/images/stories/_downloads/armed-forces-day.pdf and get to a Crown Carveries today before 9.30pm they can have a free meal. All you need is your regiment badge or serving ID Card.

From what I can gather over 100 people a day have been descending on all 117 Crown Carveries since the promotion began.

My son took a holiday in Florida not long ago. When they heard he was a serviceman who had done tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, he wasn't allowed to buy a meal or a drink.

Can't see that happening in the UK, mores the pity.
