I know, I sound like a kid but I'm not a great coffee drinker, hate tea and have spirits old enough to be exorcized....I just like my choccy milk! ALL the supermarkets seemed to have them in Feb but come April not a bottle in sight. So my question to helpful forum members is.... Where can I purchase chocolate milk ?..... (nesquik powder is ok but I prefer the litre bottles of long life chocolate milk). or ....failing that ...who is going to own up to having the secret hoard from Feb / March??

It seems like you'll have to cross the border - Debenhams, Carrefour, Ikea, Orphanides, etc., take your pick, they've all got plenty - even from their fridges.

Tempo, 1st one, has soya milk chocolate, 4.95TL. Cheaper still is to buy a bar of chocolate dark/milk, melt it in a pan and then add milk with sugar to taste. Bring to a simmer, off with the heat, cool and refrigerate, ready for the next day. Richard

Brinsley, soya is urghhhhhhh though I appreciate that is a personal thing, will try the melted chocolate....IF I can retain enough chocolate TO melt! Tenakoutou...I had thought about this but, is it acceptable to bring back long life chocolate milk? I'm doing several airport runs so, in theory, could purchase some...............if I wasn't being naughty! can anyone explain why every (so it seemed) store sold chocolate milk in Feb but not in April? Any chance anyone has seen it on the shelves now .............. but not Blue Dream, not interested in shopping there thanks.

Richard Msg 4 - a good recipe or you could use cocoa powder in the same way (or as an additive). Bernice Msg 6 - A fun idea for something a little different can be some fresh mint leaves in the concoction or if to your liking a small amount of cinnamon or nutmeg (be sparing with any of them as you work out what you like).

Hi Dreamydriver, I know your property is in the Esentepe area and so is the Blue Dream supermarket. I go there most days for bread, milk etc. as it is within walking distance of where we live. I realise that because of lack of customers the fresh food counters are not fully operational yet but the stock in the rest of the supermarket is good. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and will try and get you anything they don't have in stock. To say you are " not interested in shopping there" implies that for some reason you don't like shopping at Blue Dream. The supermarket is new and still getting to know what their customers want, if people do not use it, it will close and be a great loss to some people. I think we should all be careful what we say on these boards, as a few careless words can make or break a business, which in this case would be a great shame. The butlers wife

Blitz Fresh strawberrys and crushed ice in a blender mix in a couple of really large shots of Tequila and Triple sec, serve in a salt rimmed glasses. Gets my vote over banana smoothies any day.

re messgae 8 I have simply asked for advice as to where I can buy the c milk. Some kind members have given me recipes...which I will try..but I am a chocoholic so would like to know WHERE (if at all) I can purchase the milk. I simply specified I didn't want info re The Blue Dream. I do have reasons why I will not shop there which aren't relevent to that many others here so I wont be drawn stating them on this forum. if you are happy with the stock / lack of fresh food/ the pleasant and helpful staff... Shop there, all I am saying is I won't and I'd rather not receive info about it in responses to my questions as such responses won't help me. The few of us who wont go there won't make or break it, so I don't feel guilty. Quite happy to use other establishments including the small mini markets in the village.
