As we were in need of a 'day off' after all the recent and ongoing stress, we decided to go for a long drive, preferably somewhere we had not been before.



We ended up very hungry at Yesilirmak, and there were several eateries right by the sea. We chose one called Vouni King - for once we got it right.



What a lovely meal we had - Seftali and Chicken Shish, beautiful big bowl of salad, bread, hand cut chips and little mezzes which we had not asked for......large beer for himself and a small water for me.



This was one of nicest meals we have had in ages, of course it helps that you are sat right on the edge of the sea and there was a delicious cooling breeze.



Understanding fully that it usually costs a little more to have a meal in such lovely surroundings we were amazed to find that the whole meal cost only 45tl. The service was good although they were very busy.



I called in at the kitchen as we were leaving to thank the chef and assistants (and owner). Delightful!

Thankyou Paul for your good wishes, I am fighting like mad, the landowner is fully onside (bless him) and the stress is enormous, still this lovely little house is well worth the scrap!

Totally agree with you....wow!

Well worth a visit and also worth the drive to take in the views from Vouni Palace.
