We have just purchased a bottle of R410a fridge gas. It cost nearly 500TL, which is twice as expensive as the old gas, R22.

Loss of gas in an a/c system is usually down to poor installation, with pipe joints on the indoor and outdoor units being a problem area.

Many a/c firms here sub-contract their work to the cheapest subbie they can find who is available at the time. These chaps work to a price and rarely have time to check and double check their work.

As a result of the above, we will now have to charge 100TL to regas an a/c system with R410a. The price to regas an R22 system will remain at 50TL.
