Just wondering if anyone has the real information on these expensive bits of paper?

If you use them, and you come "In" on one and get it stamped to prove it, then lose it before you ever go "Out" again - can you still get out or do you need proof that you came in to start with? I guess because you are stood in front of the guy at immigration would not be proof enough that you are actually "In"!

On the other hand, if you leave and have your bit of paper stamped so that you are officially "Out", do you have to have the same bit of paper with you on your return (to prove you are "Out" when you want to come "In") or if you lose it can you just make out a new one to come "In" with? Again the fact that you are "Out" and coming "In" and are still stood in front of the immigration would not prove a thing I suppose!

Honest question this as a previous visitor has lost their "Out" and is worried about getting back "In" again. Thanks.

Don't worry the computer has all the info when you go in or out if you lose the paper.

Damn computers!!!! I thought that was the case but always better to check in case there is still some body standing "Out" trying to get "In" and can't because the bit of paper proves they are actually "Out" or "In" respectively!!!! Love it here.

RCT - running out of pages for stamps in this passport, bits of free paper available here without having to send off your left leg to Spain to have it verified!!! But I agree all the same.

have to say the 'Computer ' is not always right our daughter used to live here and then returned to UK and on one of her visits we collected her from Larnaca and presented the passports at the control office and they said you are already in, so had to prove with the plane ticket she had just arrived and she had be booked out on her previous trip. still dont know how they had her as IN TRNC

We confused them some years ago when we came on holiday. We had Mum with us and she was in a wheelchair, so we were pushed by the porter straight through passport control to the luggage carousel. He then went back to help another person, while he was gone, we all needed to take a natural break and as I returned toward the carousel, I saw him looking round, scratching his head and he did the infamous Cyprus Shrug and walked off. We collected our cases and went on holiday, thinking no more about it. When it came time to fly home, the Immigration Police were in a real quandry, were we illegal immigrants - what? Eventually, they decided the best thing was to let us out without a stamp so we had neither arrived or departed but had a great holiday
