You get givers and takers in this world... grateful and ungrateful...folk..



Count yourself lucky to have but a few trustworthy friends..The others are just acquaintances..

I have also noticed that the same perfect posters are not so perfect after all........they just see themselves that way.poor cyber posters..= Its just a form ! Laugh when things do not make sense any more honest your not going crazy and its not the heat either ! These perfect people have no concept of the word sorry or Yes I might be wrong and way out of order at times

Gitano... there are many, many people here who are grateful to 'whatever' that they live in such a wonderful, albeit complicated place. As far as individuals are concerned there will always be those that turn up to 'openings' with carrier bags and have a huge plateful and leave without even thanking the host. We learn to live with these animals and to be honest.... laugh at them. Most expats are polite and show appropriate gratitude. There are a few (a well known few) who let the side down embarrasingly and disgracefully. Chin up old sunshine!

Lets turn it on its head then Gitano - Why are people grateful? If you have someting to be grateful for, then you should be. If you don't, it doesn't make you ungrateful, just not so lucky as those who do have something

to be grateful for. I think this is all getting a bit deep and meaningless.

All people are different and show their appreciation in different ways. Some say what they feel appropriate, some don't bother, but will remember and help later. It depends on the individual and of course there are always those that know no better.

Usually those that don't respond have a major problem themselves and cannot see why they should.

Don't worry you have done what you should and your mind is at rest as an honourable person.
