One thing you can count on the filthy rich will still be filthy rich when everyone else is struggling.... they make sure they are not the ones who have to tighten their belts... We are rich but not in a material way.

I just love the self-appointed sainthood of "jackals" like the Warren Buffets of this world who, because he knows he's going to become even richer in the process has invested $5 billion in Goldman Sachs... to "help" them.... piffle! He knows that in times of economic turmoil he can use his wealth to make bloody sure he's going to get even richer... As it was, the rich were getting worried that far too many oiks were approaching a respectable level of financial wealth on paper at least.. Iit was not real money of course it was after all only the bubble created by investment in property with ever-increasing values which can not sustain year on year growth ahead of inflation and earnings growth without at some stage a serious re-valuation having to take place - like it is now. So these jackals will be picking over the bones of peoples lives picking the best morsels for themsleves... of course the odd investor may make a mistake and pick the wrong one... you can only hope!

They've only borrowed this money because of the restrictions the government are putting on the money that is available from them. One of which is not being able to pay some staff huge bonuses. By borrowing foriegn money they are not answerable to the british government.

It never fails to amaze me how many people actually trust others who make their living by skimming off the top.... These billionaires claim to be deal-makers and enablers who make it possible for companies to flourish but all they really do is take a cut... without actually producing anything.... It's all smoke and mirrors and still they get away with it... If they think their dosh is under threat they are gone... in a flash.

Just get sicker.Read this. Friend of mine with shares in bank of scotland, is highly delighted ,not!. Pretty soon it will be like nothing ever happened and business as usual for the spivs. No doubt MP's expenses will rear its ugly head soon as well. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/lib-dems-call-for-riot-act-as-rbs-plans-bonuses-984638.html Govt stance is that hardworking bank people should still get bonus's(our tax money) for hardwork. Can all hardworking people then expect a huge bonus. Hope health sector employees etc, go on strike for similar, using the same logic. After all ,maybe its time we all acted like the big boys and ALL got our heads in the trough
