When you renew your road tax check that the right registration is on the disc. My friend happened to look at hers after leaving the office and it was wrong. They have been told they have to pay it again go to Lefkosia tax office and fill in a form then wait three months to get a refund. What a cheek its their mistake they should sort it out locally( Girne) and not make you wait three months!
