Can anyone tell me how often you have to have your car emission test done in NC.

I had mine done prior to my last MOT which was nearly 3 years ago. I have just renewed my road tax and the original emissions test was still valid.

But I will need to get a new emissions test done just prior to getting my MOT (2 months time) so from my experience the emissions test lasts for the life time of the MOT (3 Years) but needs to be done prior to and is a requirement for a new MOT.

According to what I've found on internet,every year.However,we went to get my wife's car moted and taxed today and was told it is due for mot in early december.Last time it was done 3 years ago.My car is dual cab truck and needs it every year.
