The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture is working full speed to promote tourism opportunities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Turkey. Within this framework the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture Ünal Üstel is in Izmir.

The Minister for Tourism, Environment and Culture Ünal Üstel flew to Izmir yesterday and met with the Izmir Governor Cahit Kıraç.

They exchanged views regarding the TRNC promotional program that will take place in Izmir on the 25th and 26th of July.

Making a statement to journalists after the visit, Mr Üstel said that they were planning on hold an event in Izmir in order to promote the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the people of Izmir.



He said “we want to share our cuisine, culture and music with the people of Izmir and the Izmir Governor has extended his full support to our efforts”.



Mr. Üstel also pointed out that the people of Izmir were already familiar with the TRNC but added that the promotion campaign would still be useful in attracting new tourists.
