Live in help needed for elderly friend

I am just sounding the waters for now. I have an elderly friend who may soon need someone to live in with her to clean, cook and help her personally at times. She cannot live on her own anymore. Can anyone give me any ideas, eg how it works to have someone live in and the wages etc. I know there are full time carers out there but do not know anyone personally to talk to. Please any information from 44 members would be very much appreciated.

I can't help with live in carers but can help you put a care package together for this lady which includes carers that I have personally reference checked.

Hi Chris,

thanks very much for your reply. However she needs someone with her 24 hrs as she is afraid to be on her own especially at night. Hence the post for a live in carer. Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
