i work in Lebanon and rest of middle east - but in Cyprus a lot. I will be in Kyrenia and Lapta for 2 weeks on 25th July.

The Black Olive cafe is in the village of Alsancak. On the Girne/Lapta main road take the turning off to the village immediately before the 'Golden/Silver/Bronze Lady statue and immediately after Seveners restaurant. Take the first left and follow the road up over the roundabout and you will find it right in front of you at the 'T' junction.

AJ, I will come on Saturday 30th July mate - if there is an electro acoustic knocking about, I can play for 40 mins or so some MOR/Classic Rock tunes. I suspect I wont find what i'm looking for 'Guitar Purchase' wise, but never know cheers

I enjoy blues myself and would like to see a more active blues scene in the TRNC.

In particular I enjoy listening to 'Electric Blues Radio' but I love to listen to all types of guitar music.

Well I have just been talking to a well known TC (used to be a well known football player) who used to play in Grupo SOS. He has another group but he also plays solo acoustic guitar. He is willing to come along one Saturday night to play 4 or 5 songs. It depends on his bookings but I am hoping it will be in a couple of weeks time. For the TC's out there I will just mention the nickname Evan Keegan.

Will update as soon as I get confirmation.

This guy is brilliant.
