Interesting post having read your other post about wondering where to go.

Surely, as a teacher, your grasp of grammar should be stronger than your other post suggests!

At least I would hope so anyway!

try Girne MAerican College. if you are a certified teacher, they are hiring natives as they are changing their skin to an English school...

If you are certified teacher with TEFL or Celta then try the Language schools, as most uni's do not pay on time, Girne American is the worst in pay.

I.H Nicosia is based in Nicosia near the British Consulate try them, the owner is British, called Robin.

Their mail is info@ihnicosia.com

I had a great life as a teacher and have a great life now, Trevor aka walowitz.

Grammar and its correct use was, and I hope still is, considered to be important, especially for teachers.

Thank you Paulw.

Oh dear, where does that leave me. I have taught for 20 years and know 8 languages, so i guess I must be multilexic. Was not aware of it, though! Does it even exist?

Sorry Lions den but I think you are fast losing sympathy by some of your comments. However, you did not say that you were looking for English or Turkish language teaching jobs. are you? Or are you qualified in other subjects, age groups, key stages etc? In which case there are several options.

However, if you are a Brit, getting aWork Permit can be a problem, and if you want to buy your groceries regularly then GAU could make that difficult. good luck!
