mare monte road-destruction of nature

Dear Alsancak residents, are you aware of the WEIRD type of construction activity going on at the right end of Mare Monte road? Does anybody know what is happening?Andas natives,we know that there is an old wonderful spring of Alsancak close to Merit hotel which brings pure drinkable water from the mountains , it might get destructed also by these activities.Since I am on wheelchair,I can not do anything else than informing Alsancak people about the situation. Nature is there for all of us,nobody has the right to destroy it.

If so: what did they say?

According to Cyprus Today a couple of weeks ago, Merit are completely transforming the whole Mare Monte site to create a new luxury hotel.

As far as I know, Merit had returned Mare Monte Hotel back to Ministry of Tourism and Vakıflar, last year!

not that you can believe Cyprus today but there was some thing in there saying the whole area was tpo be redeveloped with a new hotel golf course etc etc etc.
