Gosh! You're going to love it here.

Happy, smiley, friendly warm posters.

Authoritive, knowlegible and balanced comment.

Easy to understand instructions, such as

"go down Girne High Street and I think it is the 2nd on the left, or maybe the 3rd, I can't remember its name but its behind the building that used to be the HSBC bank".

Learn more about the history of Cyprus and buying a home here.

Its quite simple, or you have to be, they all thought it would be a jolly good idea to murder each other back in 1974 and as the Turkish Cypriots were having so much fun they invited their fellow Turks in and all the Greek Cypriots who had been having a great time up till then thought that they hadn't got enough party bags and to save embarrassment, went south.

As they didn't want their land any more, the TRNC goverment rehoused the newly arrived guests from the south on it so they could still party after they had gone holidaying in the north.

Following that, the party guests from the south, flogged off the land to the Brits.

The Brits are now an integral part of North Cyprus and own lots of dogs and wander around in the midday sun. They sleep all day and come awake at night and post on internet bulliten boards. None of them have ever seen anything outside Girne in a 5 mile direction except for a trip to the dark side in the south.

Here they will spend money like water in British overseas branches of IKEA and M & S and try and smuggle sausages back through the border.

Enjoy

And in the meantime the TC's (and Brits in the know) slip off into the night through the unmanned green line Famagusta way and party on down in Ayia Napa.
