hi these prices 25 tl to see a band, seem a little steep for theres no one hardley , watching people perform here, who are free to watch , joh nny and the jets fab but not packed and that was free quailty performance from a great new band .. who people at least do know ..but hay ho good luck ,, all for a good cause ,,

re msg 9 - imho, £10 to watch 3 acts on one night is superb vfm!



the organisers have worked extremely hard to secure these acts. the thought and preparation that has gone into these events is staggering, so come on people, take a chance, you will not regret parting with a tenner, i can assure you!

0maintenance msg 13: On Friday 23rd, supporting Bex Marshall will be Serdar Tuksal and the Sirens and The Band. Serdar is the guy that plays the sax so beautifully. The Band consists of Şaban (Sherbert Joe), a brilliant Turkish Cypriot musician, and his friends.

On Saturday 24th, Funky Monkey are reforming by popular demand for one night only to support The Secret Police and The Bohemians.

On Sunday 25th, Niyal Öztürk and the Secret will support Haluk Levent, along with Ersen Sururi and his band.

It is still under negotiation, but Haluk Levent will probably have SOS, from Lefkoşa, as his backing group. Niyal we all know and love - one of the biggest hits of last year's show.

Incidentally, Bex is bringing the backing band that supported her so well at Glastonbury this year.

Last year's show was fun, but this year's festival will be a whole different ball game!

This is going to be a brilliant weekend. The Bohemians are THE BEST Queen tribute band,endorsed by Brian May. We've seen them a few times in the UK and when we heard they were coming here couldn't believe our luck. The guitarist is a dead ringer for Brian May. Bex Marshall is excellent. Have a look on U tube or Google these groups. You will not be disappointed. We are off to get tickets now and we even have relations coming over from the south. A big Thanks to everyone who has organised this.

Assuming the bar will be open. Does anyone know what the prices will be. Will people be able to take the their own cool boxes? This is going to be the best event of the year, looking forward to the street parade.

Chriswife: Funky Monkey were very much a local band, headed by the incomparable Jonnie Hawkins. Sadly, they split over a year ago and the band members dispersed to various countries. They are reforming by popular demand for a one-off gig on Saturday, September 24th.

If you'd like to come to the Saturday market at Chateau Lambousa in Lapta, or the Sunday market at Soy'z Bar in Çatalköy, we'll happily sell you a couple of tickets. Only 25TL to see Funky Monkey, the Secret Police and the Bohemians? It has to be the bargain of the year!

Philnles you will not be allowed cool boxes but you will not need them. Drinks are the same price as local bars, very reasonable, loads of fridges so all drinks cold, and they re stock if supplies are low, this is what happened last year.
