Apparently Harper isn't an unusual name in the States, it's just that we're not used to ourselves. Doesn't make it wrong though does it? Why are Brits so pompous when it comes to names - not to mention boring?

t fancy calling our children half past seven.

When I was teaching in the UK I taught Crystle Pool and Cherry Orchard.

Why do parents do that?

The girls in question smiled when they were teased by other children, these days the teasing would be called bullying.

Untrue to think it's only celebs that pick unusual first names. Bailey, Taylor, Paige, Chase and Blue were all names of children at my school in Berkshire.

Harper is a pretty common name in the USA
