I have heard of a small leak bing rerpaired using a repair kit fot an inflatable boat, not the kidies type but the AVON type boats the coast gards use

You may be able to get a repair kit from the store by the harbour

I would imagine even a fibre glass repair kit should do it as well

What you need is "Epoxy" putty......Available in some supermarkets,it comes in two sticks, one is the resin, one is the hardener, tear off an equal amount of each and NEED it until fully mixed,it has the consistency of putty.Force it into the crack/hole, it cures in water keep pushing it in as it hardens...It takes about 30 mins to cure .........Best of Luck to you ...

I've seen plant roots go through plastic quite readily. Surely thirsty plants will be attracted to these tanks. They must have a very short lifespan.

I think epoxy is a good way to go. Did not know of the putty but used Araldite rapid on above ground metal tank that we use to store tanker water in for the garden and it has held well for 2 years.

Google "Pratley Original Putty" . This product is fantastic and should do the job. I have used it many times and even applied it underwater to fix a leak on a plastic water tank.

hi wireless!

I do recommend you to buy a new one, same cost may take place if you bring the old one to Girne and back and there is no gurantee. We have absolutely new plastic water tanks starting from 350 TL. Give us a ring; 444 41 42 or 0533 821 7387.

Wireless - I have some here that I bought over from the UK.

How big is the hole / crack in your tank? If it is not so large. I might be able to give you enough to carry out the repair.

I don't think it is huge - I have not see the hole or crack if there is one as yet - I just know tank is losing water because I am monitoring it - not losing huge amount - it is a 10 tonne tank and I lost about 1/2 tonne may be less in 12 hours - I am running it dry now to see if i can find the hole/crack
