Hi i am coming to northern cyprus in 2 weeks, with a group of friends in our early 20's!

Were looking for some fun things to do, and great places to eat.

We are staying in Catalkoy but have a hire car so can get around.

any ideas or suggestions will be much appreciated!

Cheers

There is plenty to do - and Catalkoy is a nice spot to be located. I take it you will have a pool - it will be very very hot.

There are a ton of restaurants and some fairly lively bars around the harbour (dont expect Ibiza though). Bellapais village has great restaurants in a stunning location in and around the Abbey.

Watch out for turtle hatching on alagadi beach - usually in August the nests are excavated most evenings by the marine biologists.

Plenty of beach clubs with water sports - there are a couple just opposite Catalkoy.

For livelier nights / younger scene, there is are some clubs in Kyrenis and I think there is one (Ice) near Escape Beach. Hope you like it anyway, it is a nice place.

Everyone, whatever age, should do the mountain top drive from St Hilarion to the Kozan Restaurant.

You will like Manipeni's American style restaurant with really great Pizzas just off the New harbour (Touristik Liman) roundabout.

Agree about the drive from St Hilaron to Kozan, lovely especially in the summer.

My son and his friends have just returned all aged early twenties, they all said the Beyond club near the Mercure hotel was amazing,

They enjoyed Escape beach in Alscancak for watersports and food.

They like Tango to Bhudha which is quite near you, for Italian food and lively bar, also they enjoyed Quente for great Brazilian food and entertainment!!

They have all been before and can't wait for their next visit so I'm sure you'll love the place!

Have a fab holiday, and please post your comments when you return!

One word of warning you wont get in ICE club if your not "couples" as in one male one female.

We live in Çatalkoy and we have two 25 year old lads staying with us, took them to ICE and they were refused entry because they did not have female partners. They were not alone all male groups were being refused entry.

Yes my sons group had the same problem with club entry.

Beyond Club did not have a problem with it though, It's a brand new three storey open air venue on the beach, they thought it better than Ayia Napa. If you want to be sure of entry you can contact.them before and ask to be booked on to the guest list!

What are the best days for Club Beyond?

We will be just east of Esentepe from 15th August, and would be looking to pop up there, looks about 35km maybe??

How much would you estimate a taxi being as a return from there, if too much one will have to drive! haha

Thanks

Brad

Also, is there a car park near to this Club, and what are the drinks prices inside?

Are they as generous with their spirits as other places!! Haha!

Thanks

Brad

Beyond Club has a large car park with attendant. Admission is 20tl Inc free drink, 4 Vodka cokes cost around 40tl. Wed Fri & Sat are the main nights they went Sat night and it was extremely busy!

Istasyon cafe on the main Kyrenia - Lapta road (has black London cab on the roof) is the best place for Shisha, great atmosphere.

For a day of self indulgence and a holiday treat visit Cratos hotel which has Cage club!

Hope you realise after asking them for info they all are up for getting back on the plane and becoming travel guides now!!!
