Now don't get me wrong, I am not condoning any wrong doing by anybody anywhere.

I read a lot about corruption and all sorts of other shenanigans going on in the TRNC. But really we must get hold of reality and do what we can when we can. If you wish to see corruption in Industrial Scale have a look at what's been going on in UK. Murdoch and his boys running the government. What the hell did the PM have to discuss with him that required 26 meetings since coming to power.

Met Police chief resigned, what is he hiding?

We live in interesting times.

Can Murdoch survive this affair?

Couldn't see the TRNC government having a public enquiry into the corruption in the TRNC.

Surely not, it obviously did not help Asil as he is in UK fighting his corner to clear his name.

At least they don't pretend. Unlike UK after killing 13 Irishmen and decades later holding a public inquiry at a cost of 100 million pounds to find that there was no wrong doing.

I know which one I prefer, but I am against all wrong doings. You just have to realise who you are fighting. Know your enemy as it were.

Why start a new thread on a longer, on going one about this same subject and the on going consequences, few posts lines down? Your ego?

Msg 13, what are you on about. I responded to posts, what do you expect me to do. Criticism is very easy taking it is not. Don't get upset, I am not unhappy where ever I may be.

But I reserve the right to criticize especially those who are in power and abuse it.

Who you vote for does not make any difference. The only government that actually made a difference was the first labour government after he war. From then on it has been down hill I am afraid. I don't want this to come as a shock to you guys but we lost democracy in the west some time ago.

It is not as easy as that. I am trying and one day I may even succeed to move back to exact house I was born in. How is that for romanticism.

here how I see it

live in UK-corrupt as any county on earth(maybe apart from Nigeria) pay 40-50% tax

live in TRNC- corrupt as any county on earth-pay 10% withholding tax on your savings here

The choice is yours I guess

I don't know much about corruption in TRNC but there must be some. Its just that nobody ever asked for a bribe from me, perhaps something to do with me. I have never been in a tight corner.

Corruptiion is everywhere. BY and large until if affects you, you have little personal knowledge of it, it took me 61 years to become aware of it, for it to actually impact on my life, now for the last 5 years I have been trying to find a way out of it. It seems it does not matter that none of it was of your making. THe only difference is that here in the TRNC the press are gagged, wheras in the UK , the press have a field day

Some mornings, not many thank God, I just do not want to get out of bed and face it. I am a positive person and I can feel that way, my heart goes out to those less able to face it.
