Additional water tank

I am thinking of having an additional water tank installed, - we have a 2 ton above ground tank now and thought of having a second. Anyone have a view on the cost of adding a second 2 ton tank, on stand, and on supplying the concrete base too?

Do some research before you come out small is not also cheap here, try bigger companies as well.

Loook at online Cyprus today and old threads on cyprus44 and the Buzz book. Recommendation is best but here some recommend "Friends" to get them work!!



I have had one done as well, think about how you want it to work before you go ahead.

2 ton quite small for biggger house or bigger family.



Do you want it to be your prime fill and auto top up your roof tanks if you have them

Do you want both tanks on same pump. one time cost for second pump but gives good back up incase of failure

Do you want a pumped hose outlet on the new tank to wash your car clean the patio etc? Illegal but useful!

Metal or plastic tanks?

Isolator valves fitted for pump and tank at time of install so you can drain or repair.



Can you have a bigger base done at the same time and have a store built adjacent to the tank. quite cheap if done together.

Thanks a lot! Really helpful. Hadn't thought of much of what you say, other than size of tank and I had thought we would go for a bigger one - you never know when it might be needed. I guess we will use it as the prime tank to fill others, and it would be handy to use it for hose, watering system, etc. I have thought we would get another plastic one similar to the other one we have.



We will need more concrete bases - one for a shed and another for a log store so it makes sense to get them all done at the same time, and in the same part of the garden I guess.
