I am curious.

Why do some vegetarians want to buy food that looks like meat, has the texture of a sort, of meat, smells like meat and to some I suppose tastes like meat but they wont eat meat?

Jackson, Do you think that possibly it may have something to do with not wanting to eat food that has been bred for slaughter? I think that this possibly may have something to do with, however not being a vegetarian myself I can only guess.

Have you tried the Holland and Bartlett shop on Ledra Street, they might stock it

Hi Steve they sell Tofu in packets in TEMPO, it can be used as a meat substitute in many dishes such as lasagne, stir fries etc.

Anyone interested - went to the south and to Alpha Mega as Andrew suggested. There is a section in the refrigeration isle at the far end that has all sorts of Quorn products of soya protein.
