Water that is... The Esentepe Belediye seem to be putting ours on 3 times a week now... and yet the area hasn't had any substantial rain since... well forever really. Apart from one day of wet weather a week ago... and that's not enough to fill the wells... So where is it coming from? When we were on the Orchid Walk, a geologist told me that TRNC aquifer is filled by pressure from the Taurus mountain range in Turkey pushing water right under the Mediterannean and up into the Kyrenia range of hills.... Maybe it's true after all....

We got some on Monday - All day as well!!! First time for 10 days mind! Our regular water tanker guy (we've seen him that much lately he's almost like part of the family!) says that Lapta has found 400 tons of water, where it was hiding i can't imagine!! But hey so long as we get it regular who cares!!!!!

We have a villa in Lapta at the side of the ravine leading up to the Baspinar, for as long as we can remember there has been water constantly running down there, source unknown to us, but when we were there a couple of weeks ago the Belediye closed the road and workmen were seen wrestling with an enormous length of piping. We went out then for the day and when we came back the water had stopped running and has not been heard since, we can only presume it has been diverted somehow so perhaps that is some of the 400 tons they have found.

we have water twice a day, every other day. you can imagine how the people in our village feel as they had water all day every day until the gov re-routed it for other people.

Rose, My point is that as we've had no rain to speak of, how come it now appears to be in good supply?

I get it every day on a regular basis. Sometimes it's warm and sometimes it's cold - it's always very wet though. I always make sure I have it in moderation, so that it doesn't cause me any problems.
