Yesterday saw More human rights abuse in trnc and unconstitutional acts by the t/c government

And they want to be recognised !

The Turkish Cypriot administration issued warrants conferring the right to the ‘police’ to search everywhere for banners with slogans against the prime minister and also to confiscate cameras which might have recorded scenes of protest against Tayyip Erdogan.

There is no Freedom of the Press here if that is happening.

Same thing if you try to take a phont of a stolen villa or the perpetrator.

Did I not read somewhere about tear gas and baton charges against GC's calling for their leader to resign?

The police used unnecessary force from time to time, there were discussions between the citizen and the police.

Only people with an agenda would see this scuffle as police brutality, worse happens in a playground.

Did you never see a boy thumped without provocation in a playground?

There are two threads here that merge, 'See Erdogan lays it on the line to the GC's' in the message index.

Posts towards the end of that thread also speak of Police Brutality but I think Troodo at Msg 7 sums up the situation nicely.

There are of course two sides to a story and opinions will differ, however, read the threads and review the video. The 'little chap' who got a slap wasn't so innocent.

Well whilst everyone was celebrating what Erdogan said, nobody has thought of the long term out come.

Maybe ask the Kurds how fair you will be treated when you become the 82nd Turkish state? Or one of the reporters who have been sent to jail? How long will youtube and facebook last?

I could go on and on.

Good on the true Cypriots for standing up for what they believe in.

The best solution would be for the TC's to come under Turkey's umbrella until they can stand on their own;

at least that way they stand a chance. Under the GC's they will be carved up as soon as they think nobodies looking, regardless of agreements - just like before.

I was happy to be present at the Famagusta meeting and I was also happy to wave the TRNC and Turkish flags supplied freely I believe by the District Office. I will pass them on to my grandchildren.

Hah! Deafening silence. Phil, my far away friend: TRY me. It's about time to call some people to the UK judges.

AND I'M FULLY PREPARED TO DO IT - YOU ARE ON MY LIST.

Don't believe me - just try me. Easy, isn't it?

FILL IN YOUR ASTERIXES (@msg 19, philbailey: and **** beaters (...) and I'LL SUE YOU IN THE UK.

YOU'VE TRIED TO CROSS THE LINE. WITHIN THE UK LAW I WON'T ALLOW YOU.

BE A MAN.

Fill in your ASTERIXES.

@ msg 32, philbailey: It's very easy, but maybe be too difficult for a simple brain like yours.

DO FILL IN THIS LINE from an earlier post of YOURS: (@msg 19, philbailey: and **** beaters (...)

And I'll sue you.

Too difficult to fill in 4 (four!) asterixes?

P.S. And don't you think I won't do it.

It's a promise.
