The joys of a liberal immigration policy.....they just take the p... out of 'weak' western democracies. Liberalism/decency is just seen as weakness. The answer is simple, but the pinko/libs won't wear it.

The answer is simple, but the pinko/libs won't wear it. 'pinko' seems a bit odd in this statement as I've always understood it meant someone with communist tendencies and communists have no truck with what they regard as undesirable immigration... do they?

| The massacre in Norway was the work of a man with extreme right wing views who hated Muslims, police said this morning. Officers found a series of raving internet posts by 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik, who was arrested for gunning down children on the island of Utoya yesterday. National police chief Sveinung Sponheim told public broadcaster NRK that the suspected gunman's Internet postings 'suggest that he has some political traits directed toward the right, and anti-Muslim views, but if that was a motivation for the actual act remains to be seen'. Six foot tall and blond Breivik is reported to have arrived on the island of Utoya and opened fire after beckoning several young people over in his native Norwegian tongue. | I can't see how he ( Breivik - the arrested man) can claim to be 'Christian' Could he REALLY have planned all this mayhem, alone ? |

The man accused of a massacre at a youth camp in Norway and a bombing in the capital, Oslo, has admitted responsibility, his lawyer says. Anders Behring Breivik, 32, described his actions as "gruesome but necessary", and said he would explain himself at a court hearing on Monday So now he is centre stage, how the hell he is going to justify what he has done is beyond me.! After incidents like this I can see why people want to bring back the death penalty! Chris

There have been many atrocities committed in the name of religion. Whether that be christian or otherwise. Religious texts are written in such vague terms that almost anything can be justified. His explanations will almost definately be nonsense to all correct thinking humans, but they were clearly enough in his mind to justify what he did. Unfortunately there will always be events such as this. This one more horrifying because of the extent of the carnage and the age of many of the victims. We have to pray to our god that we or our loved ones never face the same fate. Or for those of us unbelievers, hope that we never become embroiled in something like this.

I find it hard to believe that he could plan all of this alone - what a tragic way to get across his beliefs. Lets pray that some other fanatic doesn't try to "out-do" him.

I just hope that the Norwegian authorities don't give him his 'day in court'. How absolutely devastating for everyone. Prayers all around the world for all victims of such horrifying madness.

His first court appearance will be this morning behind closed doors, where he will plead 'not guilty' according to the BBC. Chris
