I think jaybee meant the "Real" UB40, which was planned at the Amphitheatre for the 19th August. Not sure if this is still going ahead, but it's still listed on the official UB40 web site.

I saw Ali Campbell last Saturday and it was WONDERFUL. Surely HIS voice IS UB40?? Backing musicians are ten a penny. If you wanted to see 'UB40", you should have gone to his concert, imo.

Actually UB40's line up has Ali Campbell's "Brother" as front-man,he was actually the bands first choice when they formed,given that they both have Moseley accents it will be an interesting comparison

Msg 6/7. Could be Eric Burdon's name came up, as "Animals and Friends" are appearing at the amphitheatre on the 6th August. If the 60's are your scene, also appearing are Mike Pender's Searchers.

The Animals and Friends will be playing on the 6th of August at the Ampitheatre , so excited!! my Dad's here so we are going together. He introduced me to the Animals when I was about 6 years old, my sister and me would spend hours dancing to the LP so scared not to jump to much in case we sratched the Record. Ah they were the days!
