"Was in Cyprus for 4 years until 2007. The prices there were insane then - and have shown little evidence of pulling back. The Cypriots' answer to a shortage of buyers is to raise prices - I kid you not! Greek logic at its finest. When the Cyp currency changed to the Euro, they just multiplied their old Cyp prices by 1.72 (or whatever the then exchange rate was) to get the Euro price. Of course, when the Euro was then converted to pounds, the prices were out of reach for 99% of British buyers. Lots of shoddy construction over there - anyone looking to buy would have to do serious structural inspections. Then there is the title deeds fiasco, which has been round and round the Cyprus legal system and is now heading for the EU courts. Some people have been waiting 20 years for their papers on property they have paid off long ago. Add to that the bent solicitors and developers and the place is an absolute nightmare for the unwary investor. Saying that - it's a great place. I would

"the people being robbed of course were those dis-possessed by the war of 1974. Those who were foolish enough to imagine that others' legitimate claims on the property they 'bought' could be ignored are now reaping the reward of their ignorance. There are tens of thousands of greek-cypriots and turkish-cypriots who have waited a generation to get back their land - looks like they may be getting their way at last. Those with long memories know who the robbers are and the courts are now recognising their claim"

flamefabs you post a URL and then post quotes that are not from that URL First you quote in ms2 from a website here http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=166158 then you quote again in your msg5 from god know where Can you please cite your 'sources' correctly. The whole thread so far is meaingless in my view, given the mess of quoting URL, quoting text from multiple sources that is not in the URL and does not even come from one place as far as I can tell.

Anyway the facts are to date only one purchaser of disputed title property in the TRNC has lost because of the nature of that disputed title. Thousands have lost for reasons that are not to do with the disputed title of the property, both north and south. This may not of course be the case in the future but it is the facts to date.

NN as has already been pointed out, participation in one forum does not exclude pariticpation in another. I participate in any number of fourms including this one and the fact that I am helping with the technical aspects of DC/AJ forum does not mean I should not or can not or will not post here. I hope that makes the situation clear NN and you stop making these off topic posts in multiple threads , but some how I doubt it.

I am not a general of the new forum. I am helping people as best I can, as I have always done. As I have helped nigel in the past with his forum and helped NCFP when I could and others. The fact that I help people with forums or websites that are not this one does not mean I should not or will not continue to participate here as I feel like it. Would you like to get back on topic now flamefabs, this was aftert all your thread ? Can you explain why you post a URL, then post quotes in two further posts unattributed, that are not in the URL orignaly posted and would seem to come from two different places. Where does the quote from you post 5 come from?
