...for my terrible wording. In my own own defense, i was so angry at the amount of attention given to Amy Winehouse...when there was so much more death and destruction going on in Norway....I was simply angry that no one seemed to be taking any notice...please forgive me if i came across as a cold person...i am definitely not cold... as my friends on here will tell you......

Again forgive me and my awful outburst....

@ msg 1, Daisy Dukes: If ever you didn't have to apologise for true words and an honest opinion - it's now.

DD. No need to apologise - a lot of people say things they don't mean at some time of the other.

Well done to you anyway.

Well done Daisy,it takes a BIG person to apologise ! Things are said in the heat of the moment , and when you hear of 67 children being slaughtered, the moment is very heated indeed ! Yes Amy was a sad case, but 67 children are even sadder ! What a horrible week !!

Just to make you feel better, I was in the company of three Norwegians today, and they were questioning the same thing. Why all the publicity about one dead pop singer and nowhere near so much about ordinary people who were vic tims of a madman, and where probably hundreds of people are now suffering the pain of bereavement as a result of it. so, don't apologise Daisy. I think you had it in good perspective.

I thought it seemed like an angry post.

Well done for apologising, 2 very easy words to say, but unfortunatley in this world not enough people know how to.

it is very nice of you to say sorry i did offense at some of things that not only you but others had said, thank you for your understanding , it is very hard on the whole family when some one close to you has an addiction , it rips you all apart and can make you jump to the defense of other addicts ,it is so sad and such a waste of life, all life is so important , so god bless everyone who has lost some one they love and care for no matter how they were taken xx

I thought i ought to share this with you...i have just received a particularly nasty email, saying that i should be ashamed of myself for saying what i did on the previous post (you all know what post i am referring to) so in response to this i thought to put it here...

Do i apologise for what i said...No...i do however apologise for the profanity.

Do i regret what i said....No...but i do regret how i said it.

Do i think i took a cheap shot...yes i do..i used profanity (or at least dot dot dot) in the hopes of getting a response, which i did....(a lot of)

Do i think i will burn in hell...No i do not!! My priorities were not misplaced...as the above posts will testify to.

Have a nice day

DD you said how it came to you at the time. How dare somebody post a nasty e mail to you, they should take a look at themselves whoever they are, and asked whether they have never spoken in haste or had unprintable thoughts. DD reading the posts above do not concern yourself with whoever was e mailing you.

My Dad died the day after Princess Diana, her death meant less than nothing to me for a short while afterward, infact it became a problem trying to get flowers and arrange the funeral due to shortages and special Diana services.

I could have made a 'Who gives a flying' post then.

Daisy Duke,

For what it's worth, I thought your post was quite reasonable in it's content. Perhaps, the language used could have been more restrained but the post certainly generated a good discussion which sadly is sometimes lacking on this forum !! I for one was not offended ! Best wishes !

I'd rather read and or hear the eff word than be talked down to by those that say it offends their poor little selves, oh and I hate hypocrisy almost as much as anything else I can think of.

Daisy, no need to apologise, it is a recognised word and we are all supposed to be adults here, some of these people must have been convent schooled.

and yes an edit facility would be handy.

Daisy, most of us understood how you were feeling and most reasonable folks felt the same, good on you for putting up the post. It focused us all on what was a terrible thing to happen in Norway, at least you had the guts to put it on....

So no apogees really needed,.....

Send the email back to the repulsive person, with a raspberry from us all....

Sam,

It depends on the news Channel you were looking at.

I was watching both BBC and Sky and Amy Winehouse was a sad sideline.

No apologies necessary though.

Thank you everyone....i was ready to write a will and get the lynching over and done with!!

Good to know that most folk knew why i said what i did...and have forgiven my terrible wording....

As an aside...the person that sent the nasty email, blocked me after they sent it, so i was unable to make a reply...although in hindsight...probably a good idea, as i had composed a return email with a few unpleasant expletives...and for the person who may be reading this....for 'those' words, you couldn't have paid me to apologise!!

maybe you think that people who misuse drugs are less worthy than others who do not .

they are people just like you and i ,who cannot cope like you and i,maybe if we had a little more time for them they would not end up like amy winehouse and many like her ,we are all the same mate ,whatever.

still you have my respect for the apology.

Musin...with all due respect, i was not apologising for what i said, i was simply apologising for the way i said it...

I do realise that some people can not cope with life...and my heart bleeds for them, it truly does does....but i was trying to express my utmost MORE condolences to those that died without ever having a tiny chance at life....

Perhaps we shall have to agree to disagree on this matter.....
