| http://www.brtk.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32051:greek-cypriot-government-dissolved&catid=5:kktc&Itemid=28 Growing political crisis and economic turmoil in South Cyprus, following the fatal explosion at the Evangelos Florakis naval base, have finally led to the dissolution of the Greek Cypriot government. Evaluating the developments, TRNC President Derviş Eroğlu said that the current situation in the South will give the Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias a headache. The Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias approved the collective resignation of his 11-membered cabinet during today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers. |

| In an evaluation of the development, President Eroğlu said that it will be difficult for Christofias to form a new coalition now, since the Greek Cypriot main opposition has been calling for Christofias’ resignation. Explaining that he doesn’t expect the developments to have a direct negative effect on the Cyprus negotiations, the President however noted that Christofias will not feel very comfortable at the negotiations table under such conditions |
