well people i just let you all know about the speed camera just opposite of İLELİ SUPERMARKET ,cuz ive sein day ago they were working on it so becareful !!!

Not before time Msg.1 It's been half constructed for 18 months now. The speed they drive on that part of the road is murderous, if it works properly they'll catch 1000's in a day.

They can get you all ways as well as both ways so best to drive throughout TRNC well within the posted limits.

We go to Girne Police 3 times a year to check if we have speeding fines. It pays in the long run, that way you don't get caught unexpectedly when coming back into the country , nor to do you have aything added to the fine for not having paid it.!!

Today I was informed that I had been guilty of speeding 12 times since January on the Escape Beach Camera. ( IN 7 YEARS HERE THESE ARE MY ONLY OFFENCES AS I DO NOT DRIVE SPEEDILY)

The Speed limit on that stretch of road is 65 Kilometers per hour, my speed, just over 70. (Under 40 miles an hour)

Had I been informed in January I would have NOT repeated the offence .

Total fines 1606 TL. and 80 points on the licence!

My fault, but thank you police for not informing me sooner !!!!!!

You should be ashamed of yourself, 12 tickets in about 6 months. If you can earn 100 points within 15 months starting from the first fine, you will say goodbye for 3 months to driving. So be careful if not too late.

The best way to drive in Northern Cyprus, or anywhere, is at 30 kph. That way you don't get speeding tickets and everyone's happy.



Also, stay as close to the middle of the road as poss. It both slows down the other idiots and keeps you out of harm's way.

The speed limits here are far to low 'less than 50mph on the bypass?



Its about time some of these camaras recieved an african knecklace.



All the purpose here is to extract even more money from long suffering motorists.



If they really wanted them as a detreant then they should paint them orange or yellow.

40 miles per hour is barely speeding on clear roads. !!!

As I said, I am NOT a speedy driver and had I been informed of my transgressions sooner then it would have saved me 1500 TL and NOT swelled the coffers of the police fund!
