Hi

We raised 1,142.25TL at last nights "do" at the Sunset Club - a fantastic achievement.

Would like to thank Un for inviting us along to Barry's gig to raise money for Tulips. To thank Barry for his great performance as normal and enthusiasm and to thank all the attendees for there outstanding generosity.

Roger's wife Enid bought along the monies raised at Roger's funeral - 475TL which she presented to us on the night and was part of the total raised.

Thanks to everyone for coming along and making it a really good night.

Re:- Message 3.

Do you have any idea of the cost of Cancer Treatment? Hopefully, you never will, but should it touch you or yours, Help Those with cancer/Tulips help everyone they can, regardless of nationality, creed, colour or religion!

Count your blessings, and maybe, try a bit of positive thinking for a change.

To all the negative souls out there, I hope that you will never be the victim of cancer and out here, without medical insurance and with a reasonable but inadequate bank balance.

These charities are funded by locals (through salaried donations) and the ex pats all from the heart because they care as to how others may fare.

No National Health Service here, and no matter how 'low' the costs, they still hit hard is long term chemo or operations are required.

Just giving a few lira (like everyone else) can save a life, or give a quality of life to someone who would not otherwise be helped.

as I say, I hope it is never YOU.

(It could be me, that is why I treat Tulips and other charities as 'insurance'!)

NegativeNick - you should be ashamed of yourself. You are an utter disgrace. HTWC and Tulips are an imeasurable benefit to those in this dreadful situation..... both the sufferer and those in immediate contact. NN,if you've nothing constructive or sympathetic to say on this matter please CAN IT. I don't suppose you're the kind of person to apologise are you?...... more than likely you'll just reply with some inane wisecrack.
