brugmansia, the yellow trumpet flower and leaves ,which grow in abundance in cyprus are poison to many folk.the shayman use them to send people around the world in a mind blowing trip to la la land.

shayman make an infusion out of the leaves, and just eat the flowers, postage stamp size.

untrained hands,deadly poison.

keep an eye on kids etc.

any one know any more?

Did anyone ever see the Michelle Pfeiffer film 'White Oleander' the plant now always makes me think of that!

Also the sap of lots of plants is poisonous/irritating like when you pick Figs!

Many garden plants are poisonous some in their dried state as well. In UK there is ragwort seen more and more at the side of the roads and laburnum, the pods from this tree kill 3 children every year.

Basically children have to learn not to touch and eat garden plants unless in a vegetable patch.
