He will start to paint the outside of my house this week but I guess it would have done no harm to ask on the forum if anyone has had him paint their house and what their opinion is. I have seen some houses he has and is painting but the owners were not there to ask. I am a lady on my own and some advice would be good. How much should one pay up front? The guy is Martin from Karsiyaka and called "the English Job". thanks for any answers.

i'd "drip feed" his payments.



ok to pay for the paint up front, then pay him a percentage at the end of each week. that way you shouldn't go too far wrong..............

Martin has kindly postponed painting my house for another 2 weeks so I can get some feedback from you so I feel comfortable that he will do a good job.

Pay for the paint and only pay the rest if you are happy with the job check whats been done everyday and make sure you keep him refilled with drinks and biscuits happydays.

I can highly recommend Martin because we have used him.



He initially painted the outside of our house and we were so pleased with his work we used him again to paint the inside.



Our neighbour was impressed with the work he had done for us that he also used him.



He turned up on time and works very hard.

He is also very clean and tidy.



Martin recommends using a good quality paint and it is worth paying the extra as you can notice the finish as against cheaper paints here.

Oh at last a recommendation, thanks. I did come to your end as I mentioned above and he showed me places he had painted but the residents were not there so I really wanted a verbal comment from his customers.
