Never been to Cairns but have heard its very nice and the bonus of no more cold winters for you and easy going living.



Whilst much of Australia is pretty expensive with regard to real estate etc (especially Sydney) things should be more reasonable in Cairns.

You will be pleased to know the property system is very straight forward in Queensland so you shouldn't have any problems.



You can look up sales and rentals on either of these sites which are the two largest national real estate portals if your interested

Sold the Apt furnished, so its just the personal stuff to go, and the rest later if things work out

Best of luck to you, you will love Australia and the life there. I know you're facing some uncertainties but we Aussies are glad to have you on board! Cairns is gorgeous but then so is the whole Queensland coast!

If you want any more info, I have loads of maps and books and stuff - yes, I still cart it all around the world with me

Cairns is lovely! Just watch out for the box jelly fish in the summer! they are lethal. Buy yourself & the girls a stinger suit & you will be fine.
